I'm backing up a bit since I have been such an ALL STAR blogger lately. We have 2 very special SPRING birthdays in our family. Zachary turned 3 in March just days before our move. Our kitchen was packed up so cake baking wasn't an option. He had a party with his little friends from pre-school and some family friends at Monkey Joe's and he won't stop asking to go back ever since - every single day. He got a t-shirt as a gift from them and begs to wear it on a daily basis. If he's acting like a pill in the morning when we are trying to get out the door, all I have to do is say "Do you want to wear your Monkey Joe's shirt today?" And instantly, I have cooperation. Haaa. I win! Best friends since they were infants. So Sweet! Hahaaa. Monkey Joe walked in and scared the SHIT out of some of the kids. If you look closely at the picture below you can see Zachary's head down in the bottom center. he fell out of his seat when Monkey Joe BURST IN! His two little friends on the left were sobbing. I must say, he did make an abrupt entrance. LOL. Poor babies. But kinda FUNNY! On his REAL birthday Grandma and Grandpa graciously offered to make his birthday cake and host at their house after dinner. He shared his day with US, of course, and Grandma and Grandpa and Kyle and Gary. Our very dear friends. It was a great day! -Zachy, you have brought 3 years of nothing but absolute GREATNESS into our lives. We love you to the moon and back and back again! Happy 3rd Birthday My Darling Boy!
I am a wife and daughter, sister and friend. I am a Social Worker, a child advocate, and a foster parent. I would like to think that others see me as open minded and I consider myself to be quite liberal and also a Catholic girl (yes, you can be both). I love watching and playing almost all sports. I love 'game night' with friends, Italian food, red wine and an ice cold beer. Most importantly, after years and years of trying to build my family, I am a MOMMY. We did not take the beaten path to our children however; we were placed on the road(s) less traveled. Our journey was long and complicated. It was the most challenging and the hardest, yet most beautiful experience I have endured. I have an incredibly strong faith in the Lord and know that this is all meant to be. This is our life and our story...and I love every minute of it (most of the time)!
